This article explains that when shipping to China, Japan, or South Korea, you must use the local language when entering the Address Line 1 and Address Line 2 fields.
How to Update the Address
When filling out the address fields, please ensure you use the local language of the country you are shipping to. For example, if you are sending an item to Japan, you should input the address in Japanese characters rather than in Latin characters (Romanized). This helps ensure accurate delivery.
Example in Latin Characters:
Address Line 1: 1-2-3, Minato-ku
Address Line 2: Tokyo, 105-0001
Converted to Japanese (Local Language):
Address Line 1: 東京都港区1丁目2-3
Address Line 2: 105-0001
Why this is required
This requirement comes from our shipping partners and is due to the limited number of Latin characters allowed in address line fields for these countries.
How to update the address
If you need to update the address on an order, we recommend you do so on the
order details page. You can learn how to do this here.
