[Order Intake - GCW] Enhanced order troubleshooting with the manage orders interface

Written by Kyle Sawyer

The new manage orders section introduces a refreshed interface with enhanced functionality for managing your orders in GelatoConnect. This updated version provides more detailed order information, improved filtering options, and new features for enhanced troubleshooting.

Getting Started

You can access Manage Orders from the Order Intake menu in GelatoConnect. The new interface displays all orders you receive into the platform with enhanced visibility and control options.

Orders List Page

The Orders List page is your central hub for viewing and managing all your orders. Here's what you can do:

Default View and Columns

By default, the orders list displays:

  • Customer Order ID

  • Gelato Order ID

  • Date the order was placed

  • Shipping destination

  • Order status

Enhanced Filtering Options

Search by Multiple Customer Order IDs

  • Enter multiple customer order IDs using comma-separated strings

  • Example: ORDER123, ORDER456, ORDER789

Multiple Customer and Status Filters

  • Select multiple customers simultaneously

  • Filter by multiple order statuses at once

  • Combine filters for more precise results

Additional Filter Options

  • Filter by print job status (e.g., "Prepared", "Delivered")

Customizable Columns

You can personalize your view by:

  • Adding or removing columns from the display

  • Choosing from options like:

    • Workflow status

    • Print job status

    • Print plate status

  • Your column selections are automatically saved for future visits

Status Display Logic

When orders contain multiple print jobs, workflows or print plates:

  • A count of the total number of print jobs, workflows or print plates used for the order is displayed next to the status

  • The earliest status is always displayed as the primary status in the manage orders list view

  • This helps you quickly identify orders that need attention

Bulk Actions

Select multiple orders to perform bulk operations:

  • Cancel Orders: Cancel multiple orders simultaneously

  • Reprocess Orders: Reprocess failed or problematic orders

  • Generate EDI: Create EDI files for multiple orders

  • Change Shipment Method: Update shipping methods across multiple orders

  • Update Order Statuses: Change the status of multiple orders at once
