Signature Limit
Defines how many pages belong to a single booklet signature. This should be a multiple of 4 - 4, 8, 16, etc.
Default: Page Count (uses all pages in one signature)
You may override with a numeric limit (e.g., 4, 8, 16, 32)
What is a Signature?
A signature is a group of pages printed on a single sheet (or multiple sheets), folded together. For example:
A 16-page signature is printed as 8 pages on each side of a sheet, then folded.
Use this when:
Your equipment only supports certain signature sizes
You want fewer pages per folded set
You need to plan multiple signatures for thick books
Is Executed
This toggle controls whether booklet imposition runs.
On → The file is imposed as a booklet.
Off → Pages remain in their original order (step is skipped).
Useful for debugging or comparing layouts.

All pages
A selected page range (e.g., 1–32)
Custom Selection
Manually pick pages to be imposed as a booklet.
Use cases:

Exclude cover pages that may need different finishing or bleed setups
Merge Paired Pages
This toggle controls whether facing pages (2-page spreads) should be merged into a single imposed spread.
When to turn this ON
Your input file contains spread designs (e.g., 2-page artwork for a full bleed spread)
You want the left + right pages treated as one continuous canvas before imposition
When to keep OFF
Each page is designed independently
You want the imposition to handle pairing automatically
