The very first step is to ensure your team has access to GelatoConnect and to create a safe environment for testing. In this section, you'll learn how to add users and set up a sandbox customer.

Adding New Users
To give a team member access, navigate to the "Users" panel in the left-hand menu of GelatoConnect. Click "Add User" and enter their first name, last name, and email address.
There are two access roles most relevant for AI-Estimator:
MIS User: Can view, create, and edit estimates only. They will see only the "Manage Estimates" menu item.
MIS Manager: In addition to creating, editing, and viewing estimates, they can also edit the configuration for AI-Estimator and access the Analytics dashboard.
Select the appropriate access level based on the team member's responsibilities. Once added, the user will receive an email invitation to set their password and log in.
Configuring a Test Customer
For testing purposes, create at least one customer in the system.
Navigate to the "Customers" section and find your test customer (or create a new one).
Within the customer's profile, go to the "Jobs and Estimations" tab.
Ensure the "Estimation Process" is enabled for this customer. This allows you to create test estimates assigned to them.
Click "Save Changes" to finalize the setup.
With your users and test customer configured, you are now ready to try out the AI-Estimator.
